Turner entered the AKC show ring in July 2016 and quickly captured Best of Winners for 4 points on July 8th and the following day another 4 point major. The following weekend he was Best of Breed over 4 specials on two separate days. On July 23 he was Best of Winners and again the following day he was Best of Winners to finish his championship.

The following weekend on July 29th, Turner began competing for his AKC Grand Championship at the Lackawanna Kennel Club show in Bloomsburg, Pennsylvania and on the first day was Best of Breed for 5 points and on to a Group 1 and then Reserve Best In Show, defeating over 1,060 dogs. He was Select the next day for 4 points and Best of Breed for 5 points the third day. On his second weekend in the Breed ring in Canfield, Ohio he was Select for 4 points the first day, Select the next day for 3 points, and on the third day was Best of Breed for 5 points over a large lineup of Specials to complete his Grand Championship in only six shows!

In February 2017, Turner competed at the Westminster Dog Show and garnered a coveted Award of Merit.
